4/16/12-4/21/12

This week is filled with track and golf! There is also a lot of buzz about the Senior vs. Faculty game, we will see who will win! The BFHS theatre is also rehearsing getting ready for the musical coming up soon.

Monday- The Senior vs. Faculty game will begin at 6pm, $2 at the door for a donation. There is a golf dual at Sturgis Boulder Canyon Country Club, beginning at 4pm. There also is no teen court tonight.

Tuesday- The JV track team will be traveling to Rapid City, this meet begins at 12pm.

Wednesday- FCA will meet in the v-tel room during all lunches, all are welcome!

Thursday- The golf Belle Fourche Invite will take place starting at 10am.

Friday- The varsity track team will be traveling to Custer, this meet will begin at 9am.

4/2/12 - 4/8/12

Everyone seems pretty tired after Prom this weekend! This week is filled with lots of track and golf!

Monday- There will be a high school jazz concert at the Rec Center beginning at 7pm.

Tuesday- There is a JV track meet at Douglas, this begins at 3pm. There is also a golf quad beginning at 4pm at Douglas as well.

Wednesday- The blood drive will take place, sign up with a student council member or Mr. McNally. There will also be a rodeo club meeting at the Branding Iron beginning at 7pm.

Thursday- The varsity track team will be traveling to Spearfish for the Queen City Invite, this begins at 9am. The golf team will also be traveling to STM, this begins at 10am.

Friday- No school on Friday, Easter Break!

No school on Monday for Easter Break as well!

3/26/12-3/31/12

This week will also be busy, especially with Prom this weekend!

Track and golf are beginning to start up, they will both be having meets constantly.

Monday- Honor Society Induction Ceremony at the High School gym @ 7pm.

Tuesday- The Varsity Track Team will be traveling to Rapid for a meet. The meet begins at 10am.

Thursday- The girls golf team have a Tri at Belle Fourche, this begins at 3pm.

Saturday- Prom is taking place on Saturday, grand march begins at 7pm

Congrats to the new honor society members and good luck to the track and golf teams! Also have fun at Prom :]

3/19/12-3/24/12

Things are starting to pick up a little this week.

Monday- High School band and chorus concert at the rec center beginning at 7pm.

Friday- There will be intersession this Friday. Students who are interested in going to the movie “The Hunger Games” during intersession, sign up with Mrs. Roberts they will be taking a bus to the theatre. Cost is $6.50 per person. Girls golf will be traveling to Rapid City, Meadowbrook starting at 1pm.

Saturday- The track team will be traveling to the Douglas to the early bird track meet starting at 10am.

3/12-3/18

We have another slow week, but things should begin to pick up soon.

Rehearsal for the musical is going on this week and track is also continuing practice.

Monday- The winter awards banquet is taking place at 7pm. Teen court is also going on starting at 6pm.

Tuesday- There is a student council meeting at 7:30am

Wednesday- FCA will meet in the V-Tel room, everyone is welcome. Science club meeting after school in Mrs. Musilek’s room

Thursday- Hat Day, $1.00 each, all proceeds go to the Cameron Carlson memorial fund. Please show your support for Cameron!

Friday- No intersession, professional development

3/5/12-3/11/12

This week has been really busy, but not with many activities.

Monday- The Winter Awards Banquet has been postponed to Monday March 12^th at 7:00pm. Girls Basketball is to bring salads, Boys basketball to bring sides, and Wrestlers bring desserts.

Wednesday- FCA will be meeting in the V-tell room on Wednesday during the lunch hours. There will be a girls golf meeting in Mr. Gusso’s room at the Middle School at 4:00pm. There will be a boys basketball meeting in Redden’s room to turn in equipment.

Friday- There will be no intersession.

2/27-3/3

Finally, we have a slow week. The winter sports are all coming to an end, and the spring ones are going to be starting.

Track practice begins this week!

On Monday, The boys varsity basketball team traveled to Spearfish for first round districts. Unfortunately, the season came to an end. It was a great season and the senior boys will be missed!

On Wednesday, FCA will meet during lunch hours. There will also be a science club meeting after school in Mrs. Musilek’s room. There will also be a rodeo club meeting at 6:30 at the Branding Iron.

The wrestlers got back from state, Tate Thybo placed 6th and also PT placed 6th as well, good job guys!

2/20-2/25

This week is a lot slower than usual, but it is kind of nice to have a break.

On Monday, The girls varsity basketball team played Saint Thomas Moore, unfortunately they lost bringing the season to an end.

On Thursday, The 6 wrestlers will be traveling to Aberdeen.

On Friday, State A wrestling in Aberdeen.

On Saturday, State A wrestling in Aberdeen. Boys freshman basketball will be traveling to Custer for a tournament.

Congrats to Pt, Tate, Chris, Ramsey, Derf, and Colton on making it to State Wrestling! Good luck at state!

2/13/12- 2/18/12

Monday- There will be a training session for Teen Court at 6pm at the court house, for new and current volunteers.

Tuesday- The boys JV and Varsity will be playing Hill City at home. The JV will start at 5:30, varsity will starts at 7.

Wednesday- There is a Track & Field meeting for all who are interested at 3:40 in the health room.

Thursday- The girls freshman, JV and Varsity will be playing Saint Thomas Moore at home. The freshman will start at 4:30, JV plays at 6, and Varsity at 7:30.

Friday- The boys freshman, JV and Varsity will be playing Saint Thomas Moore at home. The freshman starts at 4:30, JV at 6, and Varsity at 7:30.

Saturday- The girls freshman basketball team will be going to Custer for a tournament, it will begin at 9am. The boys wrestling team will be going to Rapid City Central for Regions.

2/6/12- 2/12/12

This week is a little less busy as well.

On Monday, there are no activities going on.

On Tuesday, the JV/Varsity wrestling team will have a duel at Stephens in Rapid City. The JV will start at 6, Varsity will begin at 7:30.

On Wednesday, There are no activities going on.

On Thursday, the girls and boys basketball teams will be traveling to Spearfish. The girls freshman start  at 3:30, JV at  5, and varsity at 6:30. The boys freshman will start at 3:30, JV at 5, and varsity will play at 8.

On Friday, the girls and boys basketball teams will be traveling to Custer. The girls freshman start at 3,  the JV will play at 4:30, Varsity will play at 6. The boys freshman start at 3, the JV will play 4:30, and the varsity plays at 7:30.

On Saturday, the JV wrestlers will have a tournament in Spearfish. This begins at 9am.

1/30/12- 2/5/12

This week is a little less busy.


-On Tuesday, the girls and boys varsity and JV will be traveling to Saint Thomas More. The boys JV will start at 3:00, girls JV at 4:30, Girls Varsity at 6:00, and boys at 7:30.


-On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday the One-Act will be in Aberdeen for state.


-On Friday, the basketball teams will be traveling to Douglas. The boys and girls JV will both be playing at 4:15, girls varsity will play at 5:45, and boys varsity will play at 7:30.


-On Saturday the JV and Varsity wrestling team will be traveling to Hill City for a tournament.

1/23/12-1/29/12

This week has a lot of activities going on! On Monday, the one act play will be performing for the entire school at 8am. They also perform at 7pm for the public. Also on Monday the freshman girls and boys basketball teams will be playing Lead/Deadwood. The girls will start at 4:30, and the boys will follow starting at about 6. On Tuesday the boys and girls JV and Varsity will be playing Lead/Deadwood JV Boys will start at 3:00, with girls JV after them starting at about 4:30. Then Girls Varsity will play at 6, Boys Varsity following them at about 7:30. On Wednesday, the one act play will be performing in regions at 1pm. On Thursday, Rapid City Central will be traveling here to play the girls and boys freshman team. Also, the JV and Varsity Wrestlers will be in a triangular against Hot Springs and Newell. Wrestling will start at 5:00. I believe that the basketball games will take place at the middle school because wrestling is going on as well. The basketball games start at 5:30, girls playing first. On Friday and Saturday, the Belle Fourche wrestling invite will be taking place, on Friday it will begin at 1pm, and Saturday it will begin at 9am. Be sure to come support your Broncs this week!

1/16-1/22 Sports

Many activities are taking place this week. At 4 on Thursday the JV and Varsity wrestling team will be at home in the Black Hills Conference quad vs Douglas, Hill City, and Red Cloud. On Friday the Girls basketball freshman, JV, and Varsity will be playing in Hot Springs. Games will be taking place at 3:00, 4:30, and 6:00. Also on Friday the boys basketball team will be playing in Hot Springs. The freshman, JV, and Varsity will all be playing, the games are at 3:00, 4:30, and 7:30. On Saturday the wrestling team will be traveling to Winner for the Winner Varsity Invite, this will begin at 8:30am. Also on Friday Mobridge will be traveling here to play our Girls and Boys basketball teams. Jv and Varsity will play for both boys and girls. The girls play at 1:00 and 2:30, JV playing first. The boys play at 1:00 and 4:00, JV will also be playing first. The boys varsity basketball record is 5-5. The girls varsity basketball record is 1-10. With the senior leadership of our girls team, the season will be turning around quickly!

Introduction

I will be blogging about activities taking place at the Belle Fourche High School in the next 14 weeks. Activities will include girls and boys basketball, wrestling, track, and also fine arts events.
